The school utilizes late model conventional and cab-over tractors, day cabs and sleepers, with single and double axles and various transmissions - 6, 7, 9, and 10 speeds. Road trailers are 40' to 48' long allowing for students to train on almost every tractor type and trailer length. We offer a unique advantage to other facilities by providing a truck per student in most situations. Progressive Truck Driving School also offers training on straight trucks equipped with air brakes. Training is done in a real trucking terminal as well as on our expansive parking lot, which is among the biggest such lots in the Chicago area. On-the-road training occurs on public streets and highways.
